Edgmont Fire Company is always looking for new members. Becoming a volunteer firefighter and responding to calls for emergency assistance by our neighbors is a rewarding way to become involved and to do something important for our community. No experience is necessary; we will provide all the training and equipment you will need. To become a firefighter you will need more than just a desire to help people and give back to the community. You will need courage, dedication, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges.

All firefighters receive basic firefighting training by certified instructors at local accredited training facilities. Additional training is offered in advanced firefighting and vehicle rescue, as well as a host of specialized areas that further enhance skill sets. Besides attending the training at the fire school and responding to emergency calls, members’ meet on Thursday evenings for additional training drills and the second Monday of each month for our monthly business meeting.
